On September 14, 2019, State Police in Schodack arrested 53-year-old Georgette J. Blair of Queens Village, for Tampering with Physical Evidence ( E felony) and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree ( A misdemeanor).
At apporximately 9:24 a.m. on Saturday, Troopers stopped a vehicle operating with a suspended registration as it traveled on Interstate 90 in Castleton.

As the Trooper prepared to have the vehicle towed from the roadway, he asked the occupants to exit. Front seat passenger Georgette Blair was observed reaching in her pocket and dropping a small baggie containing a white powery substance. The Trooper retrieved it and placed the baggie of suspected crack cocaine on the hood of his troop car.

Blair was instructed that she was under arrest and to place her hands behind her back. Blair immediately grabbed the baggie off the hood of the troop car and swallowed it.
Further investigation revealed that she was also in possession of a quanity of cocaine that was located in a container on her keychain, as well as another baggie of the drug.
Blair was tranported to Albany Medical Center for evaluation. When cleared, she was processed at SP Schodack and arraigned in Schodack Town Court. She was remanded to Rensselaer Couty Jail without bail and is due back in court on September 19, 2019.
