Troopers assigned to the Granville barracks arrested 64 year old Michael L. Ayers of County Route 12 in Whitehall after he deposited a large quantity of mowed grass in the roadway and purposefully sprayed stones and gravel from his lawn mower at passing vehicles.  Ayers was observed by Troopers driving his riding mower into the travel lane of the roadway into the path of vehicles and then turning the blade on in order to spray the passing vehicles with stones.  Ayers was charged with Reckless Endangerment of Property, a class B misdemeanor as well as the violation of Disorderly Conduct and a traffic infraction for depositing the materials on the roadway.  He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Whitehall Court July 8th to answer the charges.
