On April 7, 2020, State Police in Sand Lake arrested Brandon M. Harwood of Rensselaer, for Stalking 3rd degree and Aggravated Harassment 2nd degree, both A misdemeanors.

State Police responded to a stalking complaint in the Town of Nassau shortly before 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The victim contacted 911 after Harwood began following closely behind their vehicle as they travelled on State Route 66. When the victim pulled into a driveway to call police, Harwood exited his vehicle and attempted to grab the victim through the window. Harwood is also accused of continuing to call the victim despite be told to stop.

Harwood was taken into custody and transported to SP Sand Lake for processing. He was arraigned in Schodack Town Court and an order of protection was issued for the victim. Harwood was released on his own recognizance, he is due back in court on May 13, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.
