On June 6, 2020, State Police in Cobleskill arrested 35-year-old Hason Ferguson of Richmondville, for two counts of Criminal Mischief 4th degree (A misdemeanor), Menacing 3rd degree (B misdemeanor), Assault 3rd degree (A misdemeanor), Obstruction of Governmental Administration 2nd degree (A misdemeanor), Harassment 2nd degree (violation).
At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Saturday night, state police responded to the Countryside Inn in Richmondville for a domestic dispute.On scene investigation determined that Ferguson and the victim had engaged in a verbal dispute which turned physical. Ferguson is accused of taking the victim’s cell phone and damaging it when they attempted to call 911, and striking them multiple times.
When Troopers attempted to make contact with Ferguson he fled the hotel on foot and was taken into custody after a brief foot chase.
Ferguson was processed at SP Cobleskill and arraigned by a judge from Cobleskill Town Court. He was released on his own recognizance by the court and subsequently transported to Schoharie County Jail on a parole warrant.
