On February 7th, 2021, New York State Troopers arrested Savannah Dorsey-Carter, 21, of Ripley, for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree.
The Troopers responded to Route 430 in Sherman for a report of a vehicle in the ditch. Dorsey-Carter was determined to be the driver and placed under arrest after failing several SFSTs. Two bags containing methamphetamine were located in Dorsey-Carter’s possession. Dorsey-Carter was transported to SP Fredonia where she was evaluated by a New York State Drug Recognition Expert and determined to be under the influence of a Central Nervous System Depressant. After securing a blood sample at Brooks Memorial Hospital, Dorsey-Carter was processed and issued tickets. Dorsey-Carter is scheduled to appear in the town of Mina Court on a later date to answer the charges. Dorsey-Carter was uninjured from the accident.
