The New York State Police attempted a traffic stop on Hudson Avenue in Rochester for a traffic violation.  The operator failed to comply and a pursuit ensued.  The pursuit ended when the operator struck a Rochester Police Department vehicle that was stopped at an intersection.  The operator, identified as Rochester resident David S. Lloyd, age 29, was taken into custody.  The investigation revealed that Lloyd was in possession of a loadedRuger 9mm handgun and small amount of marijuana.  Lloyd is being charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd, Obstructing Governmental Administration, Reckless Driving, Unlawful Possession of Marihuana 2nd and traffic infractions.  He was remanded to the Monroe County Jail and is to be arraigned on March 20, 2021.

No injuries were sustained by either the defendant or the officers.
