Rochester man arrested for DWI in Yorkshire

On January 1, 2021, SP Machias Troopers arrested Nicholas T. Ronan, 37, of Rochester, NY for Driving While Intoxicated.

Troopers investigating a vehicle parked and running while the operator was asleep at the drive-through window of a business on State Route 16 in the town of Yorkshire observed Ronan at the wheel of the vehicle while exhibiting obvious signs of intoxication. Troopers determined he had been operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition. He failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. Ronan was then arrested and transported to SP Machias, where he refused to submit to a chemical breath test.

Ronan was released with appearance tickets for Yorkshire Town Court, where he is due to appear in February.
