PRESS RELEASE
 

Brutus, NY – On June 28, 2022, at approximately 3:40 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-90 in the town of Brutus for a vehicle and traffic violation.  The driver of the vehicle, Paul S. Mason Sr., 66, of Rochester, NY, was found to be intoxicated and had a suspended license while traveling with a 13-year-old child.  Mason was taken into custody, transported, and processed at SP Junius Ponds where he refused to submit to a chemical test to determine the alcohol and/or drug content of his blood.

Mason was subsequently charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a Child in the Vehicle and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st degree; both Class E Felonies.  He and the child were turned over to a sober third party.  Mason was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Brutus Court on July 5, 2022, at 7:00 p.m.
