PRESS RELEASE
 

Eden, NY – On December 10, 2022, at approximately 1:30 p.m., State Police attempted to stop a vehicle on I-90 in the town of Eden for a vehicle and traffic violation.  The driver failed to comply, and a pursuit ensued.  Troopers and the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office successfully deployed spike strips (tire deflation device) which subsequently ended the pursuit in the town of Batavia.  It was determined that the vehicle, a 2019 Nissan Sentra, was reported stolen.  The driver, Bernard S. Knorr, 25, of Rochester, NY, was taken into custody and transported to SP Buffalo where he was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th degree; a Class E Felony, Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle 3rd degree, Reckless Driving, Reckless Endangerment 2nd degree, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd degree; all Misdemeanors.

Knorr was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Eden Court on December 27, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. and turned over to the Town of Amherst Police Department for an active warrant.
