Rochester man arrested for multiple charges after fleeing a police officer in a stolen car on the Thruway.

Eden, NY – On December 10, 2022, at approximately 1:30 p.m., State Police attempted to stop a vehicle on I-90 in the town of Eden for a vehicle and traffic violation.  The driver failed to comply, and a pursuit ensued.  Troopers and the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office successfully deployed spike strips (tire deflation device) which subsequently ended the pursuit in the town of Batavia.  It was determined that the vehicle, a 2019 Nissan Sentra, was reported stolen.  The driver, Bernard S. Knorr, 25, of Rochester, NY, was taken into custody and transported to SP Buffalo where he was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4^th degree; a Class E Felony, Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle 3^rd degree, Reckless Driving, Reckless Endangerment 2^nd degree, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3^rd degree; all Misdemeanors.

Knorr was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Eden Court on December 27, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. and turned over to the Town of Amherst Police Department for an active warrant.
