On September 12, 2022, at about 9:35 p.m., State Police conducted a traffic stop of a motorist on North Street in the city of Rochester for passing in a no passing zone and no seat belt. The operator, later identified as Isaiah Greene, 23, of Rochester, initially pulled over but then drove off and crashed several blocks away at the intersection of Lyell Avenue and Sherman Street. Troopers found that Greene was illegally in possession of a loaded .357 caliber semi-automatic handgun with 10 rounds of ammunition. Greene was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, Obstruction of Governmental Administration in the Second Degree, Resisting Arrest and vehicle and traffic violations.

Greene was transported to the Monroe County Jail pending arraignment.
