Junius, NY – On July 12, 2020, at approximately 4:30 p.m., State Police received a report of a female patron standing outside her vehicle at a text stop on I-90, in the town of Junius, and appeared to be intoxicated.  While Troopers were responding to the area, the reported vehicle was seen leaving the area and driving erratically.  Troopers located and stopped the vehicle a short distance later.  The driver, Sedina Suko, 33, of Rochester, NY, was found to be intoxicated while traveling with children ages 1, 3, and 5 years old, whom none of which were in child seats. 


Suko was taken into custody, transported, and processed at SP Junius Ponds where her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.27%.  The children were supervised by Members of SP Junius Ponds, until a relative could respond to pick them up. 


Suko was charged with Driving While Intoxicated with a Child in the Vehicle; a Class E Felony, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; an Unclassified Misdemeanor, Endangering the Welfare of a Child; a Class A Misdemeanor, and several Vehicle and Traffic Violations.


Suko was released to a sober third party and issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Junius Court on August 20, 2020.
