Update: 2:16 p.m.: The driver is identified as Andrew A. Lloyd, age 26 of Porter Cors, NY. At the scene, Lloyd told troopers he fell asleep when he began to go off the roadway. Lloyd was not transported by ambulance to any hospital and signed off at the scene with Otego EMS but was taken to Ellis Hospital in Schenectady by his employer.
Update: 12:04 p.m.: All lanes of Interstate 88 in Otego have reopened. No injuries were reported in the crash.
Original Release:
On July 8, 2020 just after 8:30 a.m., a tractor trailer filled with milk and other items rolled on Interstate 88 in the town of Otego.
All of the westbound lanes are closed on I-88, traffic is being diverted off at Exit 12, down State Route 7 and travelers can re-enter I-88 in Unadilla.
DOT is assisting on scene directing traffic. The westbound lanes will reopen once the debris is cleared.
An update will be posted when the roadway reopens.
