PRESS RELEASE

On November 22, 2019, State Police in Saratoga arrested 45-year-old Edward Boruta of Round Lake, for Criminal Contempt 1st degree (E felony), Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd degree (A misdemeanor), and Harassment 2nd degree (violation).
 
Troopers responded to a residence in Malta shortly before 10:00 p.m. on Friday, after they received a 911 call for a domestic dispute. Investigation at the scene revealed that Boruta had entered into a physical altercation with the victim during which he struck them and refused to let them leave. He was also in violation of an active order of protection.
 
Boruta was taken into custody and transported to SP Saratoga for processing. He was arraigned in Ballston Spa Town Court and remanded to Saratoga County Jail on $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond. He is due back in court at a later date.
