On March 20, 2020, State Police arrested 21-year-old Kyle K. Crump, of Saranac Lake following an investigation of a one-car crash that took place on January 24, 2020, at approximately 9:15 p.m. on State Route 3 in the town of Saint Armand.
Crump was operating a 2008 Ford Ranger eastbound on State Route 3 when he lost control of his vehicle and drove off the north shoulder, through the guide wires, and down an embankment. The vehicle came to rest on its passenger side.
Crump was transported to the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake for leg injuries.
He provided a blood sample in order to test his blood alcohol content, which were then analyzed at the New York State Police Crime Laboratory in Albany. Subsequent to receiving the results of the test, Crump’s blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.211%. His license was also found to be suspended. Crump was charged with Aggravated DWI (misdemeanor), as well as Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st degree (felony). He was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Essex County Court for arraignment on March 26, 2020.
