On March 27, 2021, State Police in Latham arrested 28-year-old Tyler B. Jackson of Saratoga springs, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree (B felony), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th degree (D felony), Tampering with Physical Evidence (E felony), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree (A misdemeanor),  Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia (A misdemeanor).

At approximately 10:18 p.m. on Saturday, state police stopped Jackson for a series of traffic infractions as he traveled on I-87 south near the I-90 interchange in the city of Albany. When the Trooper spoke with Jackson, they observed signs of drug possession inside the car. Jackson was asked out of the vehicle. As he exited, he threw a small baggie containing cocaine which landed in the right lane of travel and was secured by patrols.

A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed that Tyler was in possession of approximately 3.3 grams of cocaine, 2 grams of methamphetamine, 8 grams of MDMA, and drug paraphernalia.

Jackson was taken into custody and transported to SP Latham for processing. He was then brought to Albany County Jail to await arraignment.
