On September 29, 2019, State Police in Clifton Park arrested 52-year-old Martha A. Brayman of Saratoga Springs, for Attempted Assault 2nd degree (D felony), Criminal Mischief 3rd degree (E felony), Assault 3rd degree (A misdemeanor), Menacing 2nd degree (A misdemeanor), Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree (A misdemeanor), and Criminal Trespass 3rd degree (B misdemeanor).

Shortly before 4:00p.m. on Sunday, State Police were called to a residence in the town of Halfmoon for a disturbance.

Upon arriving, Troopers interviewed a distraught male who stated that Martha Brayman had shown up at his home uninvited. When he asked Brayman to leave she became upset and they began to argue. The dispute became physical and Brayman is accused of punching the victim multiple times, causing minor injury.

When the victim called police Brayman fled the area, but returned a short time later brandishing a knife and attempting to stab him. She then used the knife to damage the victim’s vehicle. The victim was able to get away without further injury, and Brayman left the area before police arrived.

Brayman was located by patrols in the city of Saratoga Springs, and taken into custody. She was arraigned in Halfmoon Town Court and remanded to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of $7,500 cash or $15,000 bond. She is due back in court on October 3, 2019 at 4:00 p.m.
