Woodbury, NY – On October 17, 2020, at approximately 6:15 p.m., State Police stopped a car on I-87 in the town of Woodbury for multiple vehicle and traffic violations.  While interviewing the driver, probable cause to search the vehicle was established.  The driver, Alva M. Joyce, 35, of Saugerties, NY, was found to be in possession of approximately 107 grams of heroin and 10.8 grams of crack cocaine. 

 

Joyce was taken into custody, transported, and processed at SP Newburgh where she was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell 3rd degree; a Class B Felony and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th degree; a Class C Felony.

 

Joyce was released with appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Woodbury Court on October 28, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.
