Newburgh, NY – On June 3, 2021, at approximately 9:25 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87 in the town of Newburgh for a vehicle and traffic violation.  The driver of the vehicle, Walter Connolly, 55, of Schenectady, NY, was found to be intoxicated.  He was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Newburgh where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.24%. 

Connolly was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; an Unclassified Misdemeanor.  He was turned over to a sober third party and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Newburgh Court on August 24, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.
