On September 5, 2019, State Police in Fonda arrested 50-year-old Corey R. Coulter of Schenectady, for Aggravated Harassment 2nd degree.

On August 12, 2019, Troopers received a complaint from a female who stated that she was getting harassing text messages on her cell phone. The victim was contacted by an unknown number, the texts seemed innocuous at first, but became crude and harassing. The sender used the victim’s name and physical description in the messages, demonstrating that they were familiar with one another, but declining to identify themselves.

Phone records were obtained and traced the unknown number to Corey Coulter.
Investigation revealed that the victim had been overheard by Coulter when she was placing a food order over the phone, and had provided her cell phone number to the restaurant.

Coulter was arrested and processed at SP Fonda. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Amsterdam Town Court on September 17, 2019 at 6:00 p.m.
