On April 15, 2020, State Police in Latham arrested 22-year-old Messiah Anderson of Schenectady, for Reckless Endangerment 2nd degree, Unauthorized Use of Vehicle 3rd degree, and Unlawful Fleeing an Officer in a Motor Vehicle 3rd degree, all class A misdemeanors.

Shortly before 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday State Police attempted to stop a vehicle operated by Anderson, as he travelled on Alternate Route 7 in the Town of Colonie. At the time Anderson did not have permission from the owner to be operating the vehicle, or a driver’s license.

Anderson refused to comply with attempts to pull him over and a vehicle pursuit was initiated. The pursuit ended on Island View Road in Colonie when Anderson stopped the vehicle and took off on foot. He was taken into custody after a short foot chase.

Anderson was processed at SP Latham and issued an appearance ticket for Colonie Town Court on May 27, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.
