New York State Police Investigators from SP Princetown arrest a 47-year-old Wright man for Class D Felony of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd and the Class E Felony of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th.

James E. Reinhart Jr. Jr of the Town of Wright was arrested following investigations into reports of multiple burglaries, larcenies and gas drive-offs in both Schoharie County and Schenectady County.  Troopers from Cobleskill and Princetown coordinated investigation identified James E. Reinhart Jr as a suspect and led to the execution of a search warrant at James E. Reinhart Jr’s residence on January 23, 2020.

During the search of Reinhart’s residence, numerous stolen items were recovered from multiple investigations including an ATV reported stolen in November 2019 in the Town of Duanseburg.  Also recovered were numerous items reported stolen in early January 2020 from a Burglary at a residence in the Town of Esperance.  Reinhart Jr was additionally charged for multiple counts of the Class A Misdemeanor of Petit Larceny which stemmed from numerous gas drive-off investigations in the Town of Middleburgh between September and December of 2019. 

The investigation into Reinhart Jr’s activities is ongoing.  Investigators specifically are attempting to locate the Coleman popup camper pictured below which was stolen during the same Burglary as numerous of the items recovered from Reinhart Jr’s residence.  Anyone with information should contact Investigators at (518) 630-1700.




Reinhart Jr. was found to have a bench warrant issued for his arrest from the Town of Duanesburg court for previous traffic charges.  He was arraigned in the Town of Esperance Court and remanded to Schoharie County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $10,000 bail bond.  Reinhart Jr is scheduled to appear on January 27, 2020 in the Town of Wright court.
