June 13, 2020 – SP Cobleskill Barracks

 

New York Troopers stationed at SP Cobleskill arrested a Broome woman for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated- Leandra’s Law (E felony) and Endangering the Welfare of a Child (A misdemeanor) following a traffic stop in the Town of Middleburgh. 

Alexandra DeVito, age 51, was arrested following a traffic stop on State Route 145 in the Town of Middleburgh shortly before 8:00 p.m. on Friday. While interviewing DeVito, Troopers were able to detect the odor of alcohol and observed signs of impairment. DeVito was administered Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which she failed, and was taken into custody.  A 10-year-old child was a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the stop.

DeVito was transported to SP Cobleskill where she provided a breath sample of .19% B.A.C.  She was processed and is due in Middleburgh Town court on June 24, 2020 at 5:30 p.m.
