On January 5, 2020, at approximately 3:10 p.m., State Police responded to a residence in the town of Schuyler Falls for a report of a gunshot inside that residence. 
Following an investigation, 21-year-old Austin M. Taylor of Schuyler Falls was arrested when troopers discovered he had shot a hole through the ceiling of living room area. The shotgun that he used was found to have the serial number scratched off. Taylor was charged with Reckless Endangerment 1st degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree, both D felonies.  
Taylor was released on appearance tickets to appear in the Town of Schuyler Falls Court.
State Police were assisted by the Clinton County Sherriff’s Department.
