Newburgh Man Arrested for DWI and for Possessing a Stolen Weapon

The New York State Police announce the arrest of Joshua S Mendez, age 28, of Newburgh, NY. Mendez was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree, a Class C Felony, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th, a Class E Felony, and Criminal Possession of Marihuana, a Class A Misdemeanor, DWI as well as other Vehicle and Traffic Law Violations.

State Police looking for the best and the brightest to join the long gray line
Superintendent George P. Beach II has announced the State Police have launched a new recruiting effort to attract the best and brightest qualified candidates to join one of the most highly respected law enforcement organizations in the country. The State Police will be holding a new Trooper entrance examination this fall. The exams are scheduled for October 7, October 14, October 21, and October 28, 2017, and will be offered at several convenient locations around the state.  (more)

The Mid-Hudson Bridge displayed purple lights in honor of the New York State Police's 100th anniversary.

On April 11, 2017, members of the New York State Police from Troop K and Troop F congregated at Victor C. Waryas Park to take a photo of the Mid-Hudson Bridge, illuminated purple, in honor of the New York State Police’s 100th Anniversary.  (more)

Newburgh Man Arrested for Criminal Contempt and Harassment

04/05/2017 - The New York State Police – Montgomery BCI announce the arrest of 37 year old, Joshua B. Aldrich, of Newburgh, NY, for Criminal Contempt in the First Degree (a class E felony) and Harassment in the Second Degree (a violation) subsequent to an investigation into a domestic dispute that occurred in the Town of Newburgh. Additionally, Aldrich was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the Second Degree (an unclassified misdemeanor).
