Cold Case Tuesday: New York State Police continue to investigate the 45-year-old homicide of a Dutchess County man.

At approximately 11:55 p.m. on Wednesday, November 17, 1971, the New York State Police responded to Eddie’s Service Station, located at the intersection of Route 9 and Old Hopewell Road (County Route 28), in the Town of Wappinger. 
 Responding Troopers located 54-year-old Leonard Monette, of Wingdale, deceased in a dark storeroom at the rear of the building.
