While on routine patrol, Troopers from the Mayfield barracks arrested six people for driving under the influence this weekend. The arrests are as follows:

 

  • Ryan M. McLaine, 36, of Gloversville- Charged with Driving While Intoxicated. McLaine was stopped for a traffic infraction in Johnstown shortly before midnight on Thursday. Upon interviewing McLaine, the Trooper smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from inside of the vehicle. McLaine was administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and taken into custody for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. He was transported to SP Mayfield where he provided a breath sample of .09% B.A.C. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Johnstown Town Court on June 18, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.

 

  • Crystal D. Evans, 33, of North Creek- Charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated- Leandra’s Law and 3 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.Evans was stopped for speeding in Mayfield shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Thursday night. Upon interviewing Evans, the Trooper smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from inside the vehicle. Evans was administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Test and taken into custody for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. There were three children in the vehicle at the time of the stop. Evans was transported to SP Mayfield where she provided a breath sample of .16% B.A.C. She was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Mayfield Town Court on June 16, 2020 at 3:00 p.m.

 

  • Eric J. Haight, 40, of Northville- Charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Unlicensed Operation 1st degree. Haight was stopped for a series of traffic infractions in Northville shortly before 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Upon interviewing Haight, the Trooper smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from inside the vehicle. Haight was administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Test and taken into custody for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. He was transported to SP Mayfield where he provided a breath sample of .09% B.A.C. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Northampton Town Court on June 18, 2020 at 3:00 p.m.

 

  • Scott G. Fordyce, 63, of Northampton- Charged with Driving While Intoxicated. State Police located Fordyce shortly before 10:00 p.m. on Friday, after his vehicle was reported to have been involved in a minor hit and run accident at Stewart’s in Northville. Fordyce was administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and taken into custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. He was transported to SP Mayfield where he refused to provide a breath sample to determine the alcohol content of his blood. He was issued an appearance ticket for Northampton Town Court on June 18, 2020 at 3:00 p.m.

 

  • K.C. H. Hersey, 24, of Amsterdam- Charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Unlicensed Operations 1st degree. Hersey was stopped for a traffic infraction in Amsterdam late Friday night. Upon interviewing Hersey, the Trooper smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from inside the vehicle. Hersey was administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and taken into custody for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. He was transported to SP Mayfield where he provided a breath sample of .15% B.A.C. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Amsterdam Town Court on June 18, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.

 

  • Andrew M. Brown, 22, of Gloversville- Charged with Driving While Intoxicated. Brown was stopped for a traffic infraction in Gloversville shortly before 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Upon interviewing Brown, the Trooper smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from inside the vehicle. Brown was administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, but was unable to complete them. He was taken into custody for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. He was transported to SP Mayfield where he provided a breath sample of .12% B.A.C. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Gloversville City Court on June 29, 2020 at 8:15 a.m.
