New York State Police were dispatched to the Dandy Mini Mart in the Village of Wellsburg on Wednesday September 25th. When Police arrived they located Lynette Ford, age 35 of Elmira, in her vehicle asleep with the engine running. Ford woke and told Police that she had been sleeping there. Ford was unable to complete road side sobriety testing. Ford requested her purse from the car and that’s when Police found marijuana and a controlled substance. Ford was taken to the police station in Wellsburg where a breath test showed her to have a BAC level of .09%. Ford was arrested for DWI with a previous conviction in less than 10 years, possession of a controlled substance . Ford was issued tickets returnable to the Village of Wellsburg court and released to a sober third party.
