Bedford, New York – On January 31, 2021, the New York State Police from the Somers barracks arrested Benjamin J. Deurso, age 26, of Somers, NY, for two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd degree, a class A-II felony, Possession of Marihuana in the 1st degree, a class C felony, three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, and Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd degree, both class A misdemeanors.

At approximately 11:45 p.m., Troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox on Interstate 684 in the town of Bedford for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law.  Investigation determined the operator, identified as Benjamin Deurso, possessed approximately 2.4 grams of Lysergic acid diethylamide (acid), 4.1 pounds of Psilocybin mushrooms, 15.9 pounds of marijuana, boxes of THC edibles and oil, and $4,000 in U.S. Currency.

Deurso was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the town of Bedford Court on February 17, 2021, at 6:00 p.m.
