On April 6, 2020, State Police in Saratoga, arrested 34-year-old Tyler S. Moon of South Glens Falls, for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th degree (E felony), Tampering with Physical Evidence (E felony), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree (A misdemeanor), Resisting Arrest (A misdemeanor), and Use of a Vehicle Without an Interlock Device (A misdemeanor).

Shortly after 5:00 p.m. on Monday, Troopers attempted to stop Moon on the I-87 northbound off ramp, after the car that he was operating was reported stolen. The victim of the theft had reported that an unknown person had stolen his 2009 Saturn from the parking lot of the Stewart’s Shop on Route 9 in Ballston Spa.

When State Police saw Moon in the vehicle, he stopped on the exit ramp and fled on foot, he was taken into custody a short time later by patrols. Moon was also found to be in possession of multiple dosage units of Suboxone, some of which he attempted to consume in order to conceal the evidence.

Moon was taken into custody and transported to SP Saratoga for processing. He was issue an appearance ticket for Saratoga City Court on May 21, 2020 at 9:00 a.m.
