On March 7, 2021 at approximately 4 a.m. Troopers observed a vehicle traveling 92 mph in a 55 mph on State Route 33 in Cheektowaga.  The vehicle was stopped and the driver Michael Rivera, 38 of Buffalo, failed field sobriety tests.  He was arrested for DWI and found to be in possession of brass knuckles and a small amount of marijuana. Rivera refused to provide a blood sample and was charged with DWI, criminal possession of a weapon and possession of marijuana.  He was released with a return court date in Cheektowaga.
