State Police are investigating a fatal car crash on the Palisades Parkway

On February 6, 2022, at approximately 2:39 a.m., State Police from the Haverstraw barracks responded to a head on collision on the Palisades Parkway in the town of Clarkstown near, exit 10. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2017 Subaru Impreza, operated by Aristan Garandeau, age 22 from Croton on Hudson, entered the Palisades Parkway and was traveling the wrong way. He was traveling south in the north bound lane passing lane and struck a 2016 Toyota Avalon head on that was traveling north in the passing lane. The Toyota was operated by Brendan Seabrook, age 27 of Wilkes Barre, PA. Garandeau was pronounced deceased at the scene. Seabrook was transported by New City EMS to Montefiore Nyack Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

This incident is still under investigation.
