Rotterdam, NY – On Monday, December 23, 2019, at approximately 1:15 a.m., State Police responded to a serious personal injury crash at mile marker 166.4, eastbound on I-90 in the town of Rotterdam, Schenectady County. 
 
A preliminary investigation revealed a 2015 Freightliner tractor trailer was operating in the right lane when it struck the rear of a 2013 Tesla Roadster which was stopped on the south shoulder and abruptly re-entered traffic.    
 
The driver of the tractor trailer, Chernor Bah, 51, of Lindenwold, NJ, was transported to Albany Medical Center by Rotterdam EMS ambulance service for non-life threatening injuries.  
 
The driver of the Tesla, Armani Pizzaro, 19, of Harlem, NY, was transported by Med-Flight to Albany Medical Center for serious injuries.  Pizzaro’s condition is unknown.  The accident remains under investigation at this time.
