State Police arrest Albany man following a pursuit

On January 22, 2023, State Police of Princetown arrested Mychael K. Thomas, 28, of Albany, NY, for Driving While Ability Impaired by Alcohol, Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. 

On January 22, 2023, at about 3:34 a.m. Troopers attempted to stop a vehicle on I-890 in Rotterdam, NY, for Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.  Thomas, who was operating the vehicle, failed to comply, and a vehicle pursuit was initiated.  Thomas lost control of his vehicle and struck a guide rail. He exited the vehicle and was taken into custody uninjured following a short foot pursuit. 

Thomas was transported to SP Princetown for processing, where he recorded a 0.07% BAC. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Rotterdam Town Court on February 9, 2023, and turned over to Colonie Police Department for a nonrelated outstanding warrant.
