State Police arrest an Elmira resident for DWI.

On January 26, 2023, at approximately 2:14a.m., State Police out of Horseheads conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 86, in the Town of Chemung. While interviewing the driver, Seth E. Hatch, age 37, from Elmira, the trooper detected an odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from Hatch.

Hatch then submitted to Standardized Field Sobriety Testing subsequently failing them.

Hatch was transported back to SP Horseheads where he provided a positive BAC sample and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and given an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Chemung Court on February 9, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.
