On April 29, 2022, State Police arrested Kenneth W. Bombard, Jr., 58, of Beekmantown, for Reckless Endangerment 1st degree and Arson 2nd degree.

On April 29, 2022, at approximately 4:27 a.m., State Police were called to The Stonehelm Motel on Spellman Road, in the town of Beekmantown, to assist the Beekmantown Fire Department with a reported fire. 

As a result of the investigation that followed, Bombard was arrested, arraigned in the Beekmantown Town Court, and remanded to Clinton County Jail pending further court action.

State Police were assisted in this investigation by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.
