On November 12, 2020 at approximately 8:56 a.m. State Police from the Monroe barracks were notified of a stolen vehicle in the area. The vehicle was reported stolen from Dulles Airport, Arlington, VA. While patrolling State Route 17 troopers observed the stolen vehicle, a 2021 Chevrolet Camaro convertible with a Virginia license plate. Troopers stopped the vehicle on State Route 17 eastbound on the exit 129 off ramp. The operator of the vehicle identified himself as "Danny Bourne", further investigation revealed that his real name is Darren Saunders, age 25 of Brooklyn, NY.  Saunders was in possession of two fraudulent credit cards and a fraudulent Illinois driver’s license, all with the fake name "Danny Bourne". He also had approximately 10 grams of marihuana.

Darren Saunders was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th degree, Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument, Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 1st degree, all felonies. False Personation, a misdemeanor and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana 2nd degree, a violation. He was virtually arraigned in front of City Judge Turpin City of Newburgh Court and issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Blooming Grove Court on December 1, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.
