On March 2, 2023, State Police of Greenwich arrested Shannon L. Hunt Jr., 33, of Cambridge, NY, for two counts of Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree, four counts of Criminal Contempt in the First Degree, five counts of Reckless Endangerment in the Second Degree, four counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.

On March 1, 2023, at about 3:07 p.m. State Police responded to the reports of a domestic dispute in the area of Legrys Road in Jackson, NY. The victims were located at the Cambridge Village Police Department. The investigation determined that Hunt Jr intentionally struck a vehicle with his vehicle multiple times, which caused the vehicle to exit the road and injured two occupants. The victim’s vehicle was occupied by one adult and four children under the age of 17. This incident occurred while an active court-issued order of protection was in place protecting four of the vehicles’ occupants from Hunt Jr. Hunt’s vehicle was located unoccupied shortly after the incident.

Hunt Jr. was located in the area of South Park Street in Cambridge, NY, on March 2, 2023, arrested and transported to SP Greenwich for processing.  He was arraigned at the Jackson Town Court and remanded to the Washington County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
