On August 2, 2019, State Police in Wilton arrested 22-year-old Tristan M. Mayheux of Halfmoon, for Grand Larceny 3rd degree and Falsifying Business Records 1st degree.

On July 31, 2019, the Bureau of Criminal Investigations stationed at the Wilton barracks received a complaint from a Corporate Investigator for Petsmart in regards to a series of larcenies carried out by an employee at their Saratoga Springs location. The business initiated an investigation into employee, Tristan Mayheux, who is believed to have stolen approximately $45,000 during a period from early June 2019 until the end of July 2019. Mayheux carried out the theft by stealing money from deposit bags and taking money from change orders. Further investigation revealed that Mayheux had also falsified multiple business record while committing the larcenies.

Mayheux was taken into custody at his residence and transported to SP Wilton for processing.

Mayheux was arraigned in Wilton Town Court and released on pre-trial services. He is due back in court on August 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
