State Police arrest Hillsdale man for assault following a domestic dispute

On April 8, 2023, State Police arrested Matthew Charpentier, 33, of Hillsdale for Assault 3rd degree.

On April 8, 2023, at around 12:22 a.m., State Police were called to County Route 21 in the town of Hillsdale for a report of a domestic dispute.

A preliminary investigation determined that Charpentier and the victim got into an argument in the driveway.

During the investigation, it was determined that Charpentier struck the victim in the face causing injury.

The victim was taken to Albany Medical Center for evaluation.

Charpentier was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Hillsdale Town Court on April 19, 2023.
