PRESS RELEASE
 

On June 24, 2022, at approximately 3:40 p.m., State Police in Big Flats conducted a traffic stop on a motorist in the Town of Catlin. While interviewing the driver, William H. Coats, age 31, from Horseheads, it was determined the vehicle had no insurance on it. 

During an inventory of the vehicle before being towed, the trooper discovered a plastic bag with methamphetamine inside. 

Coats was transported to SP Horseheads and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree. 

Coats was given an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Catlin Court on July 6, 2022, at 7:00 p.m.
