On January 13, 2022 at 7:55 p.m., Jean Rivera responded to SP Waterloo to be arrested and processed for petit larceny stemming from an incident that occurred on November 19, 2021, at the Del Lago Casino. Security contacted State Police to report a theft.

after a patron walked up to the cash out cage to cash in her cheques at the cash out window.  The patron had $2,293 worth of cheques, 5 black $100, 48 green $25, 118 red $5, and 3 $1 white cheques.  The clerk was observed paying the patron the correct amount and the patron left the window.

At this time the clerk left the window with leaving the cheques on the "pay square" from the last transaction.  At this time Jean Rivara was observed through security footage walking up to the cash out window reaching over the counter and grabbing the (5) black $100 cheques.

The clerk then returned to the window and put away the remaining cheques that were left in the window before helping Rivera.  Rivera was identified through Veridocs which is a software system that stores everyone’s ID that is scanned when they enter the Casino.  Rivera then gave the clerk the (5) black cheques that he just stole and two TITO vouchers and was given $500.00. and then exits the casino.

Rivera was processed and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Tyre Town Court for a later date in February.
