State Police arrest Jersey City female as a Fugitive from Justice from New Jersey

On August 25, 2022, at approximately 5:10 p.m., State Troopers arrest Nuzket Z. Hkan, age 45, of Jersey City, NJ, on a Fugitive from Justice Arrest Warrant out of New Jersey stemming from possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose charges. 

On August 25, 2022, at approximately 4; 30 p.m., New York State Police responded to the Champlain Port of Entry, for a Fugitive from Justice, out of the State of New Jersey.  Upon the Troopers arrival, Hkan was detained by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officers.  A preliminary investigation revealed, Hkan was attempting to enter Canada when the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officers conducted a secondary inspection for the purpose of verification of the subjects U.S. currency declaration.  The investigation revealed Hkan was wanted by Hudson County Sheriff’s Office in Jersey City, New Jersey, 

Hkan was arrested and arraigned in the Town of Champlain Court.  She was remanded to Clinton County Jail awaiting extradition.   

State Police were assisted by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Hudson County Sheriff’s Office.
