State Police arrest Johnstown man for possession of a forged New York State vehicle inspection

On August 9, 2022, at about 3:37 a.m. State Police in Fonda arrested Brandon M. Mcrae, 30, of Johnstown, for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the Second Degree, a class “D” felony.

During a traffic stop of a vehicle being operated by Mcrae, Troopers determined the inspection sticker on the vehicle was forged, and the vehicle did not have a valid inspection since February 2021.

Mcrae was arrested and transported to SP Fonda for processing. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Johnstown City Court on August 30, 2022, and then released.
