On Sunday July 26, 2020, state police from the Liberty barracks arrested Jennifer Medina, age 42, of Liberty, NY following an investigation from a burglary on July 16, 2020. Investigation revealed that Medina broke into a residence on State Route 52 in the town of Liberty. Medina forced entry in the residence and then threatened the occupant with a knife. Medina demanded money and drugs. She left the residence after taking medical marihuana. She was later arrested and charged with Burglary 1st degree and Robbery 1st degree, both felonies. She was additionally charged with Criminal Possession of Weapon 4th degree, Criminal Mischief and Menacing 2nd degree, all misdemeanors. She was arraigned in the town of Liberty Court and remanded to Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail.
