On the morning of June 8, 2020, New York State Police served a search warrant at a residence on Brown Street in Livingston Manor. Investigators seized 41.5 grams of heroin, Diazapam, Ecstacy, Lyrica, glassine envelopes and a stolen .22 Ruger rifle. Investigators arrested Anthony Janik, age 31 of Livingston Manor and charged him with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th degree, Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree (all felonies) and Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree, a misdemeanor). Yanik was arraigned in Sullivan County Court and arraigned in front of Judge Farrell and released on his own recognizance and scheduled to reappear on June 15, 2020.

The state police were assisted by the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office. DA Meagan Galligan, states “My office is proud of our partnership with the talented drug investigators of the New York State Police who are committed, with us, to detecting and dismantling drug distribution networks in Sullivan County.  I applaud the community for reaching out to encourage these police initiatives.”
