State Police arrest a Montour Falls resident for Obstructing Governmental Administration and Resisting Arrest.

On January 22, 2023, at approximately 10:15 a.m., State Police out of Horseheads conducted a traffic stop on State Route 13, in the Town of Veteran, for multiple vehicle and traffic law violations.  During the interview the driver, Rilee J. Kuparinen, age 19, from Montour Falls, refused multiple requests from the Trooper to exit the vehicle for further investigation. While out of the vehicle, Kuparinen continued to refuse to comply with orders given by the Trooper.

Kuparinen was transported to SP Horseheads where he was charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration and Resisting Arrest.  Kuparinen was given an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Veteran Court on February 1, 2023, at 5:30p.m.
