State Police arrest Northville man following an overdose investigation.

On February 21, 2023, State Police arrested Brian A. VanNostrand, 32, of Northville, NY, on a warrant for Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a class “B” felony.  

On March 27, 2022, Troopers responded to a Northampton, NY, home to assist EMS with an unresponsive person who was later pronounced deceased at Nathan Littauer Hospital. The investigation determined the cause of death was a narcotic overdose. It was discovered VanNostrand sold the victim controlled substances within days of the victim’s death.  

VanNostrand was produced from the Fulton County Correctional Facility where he was being held due to an unrelated matter and transported to SP Mayfield for processing. He was arraigned at the Northampton Town Court who set a bail of $100 cash, $1,000 bond or $1,000 partially secured bond.  VanNostrand was then returned to the Fulton County Correctional Facility.
