State Police arrest Petersburg woman following missing funds investigation

On January 27, 2023, State Police of Saratoga arrested Nicole D. Kope, 42, of Petersburg, NY, for Grand Larceny in the Third Degree.

On January 1, 2023, at about 11:19 a.m. Troopers received a complaint that a victim was missing over $24,000 in pay wages from a past employer located in Glenville, NY. The investigation determined Kope had been receiving the payments owed to the victim from September 2022 until December 2022.  Kope failed to report the misappropriation of the funds and kept the money. 

Kope surrendered herself to SP Saratoga for processing. She was arraigned at the Malta Town Court and released on her own recognizance.
