On September 27, 2022, State Police arrested Tramere T. Artis, 28, of Schenectady, NY, for Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle, Obstructing Governmental Administration in the Second Degree, and multiple violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Laws.

On September 1, 2022, at about 10:02 p.m., Troopers were conducting a Sobriety Road Check at the I-87 on-ramp in Malta, NY. During the interview of an operator at the checkpoint, the subject failed to produce a driver’s license when instructed and fled the location in the vehicle. An investigation into the incident revealed that Artis was the operator and that he did not possess a valid driver’s license at the time.

Artis was located and arrested at his Schenectady home and transported to SP Clifton Park for processing. He was issued tickets returnable to the Malta Town Court on October 5, 2022, and released.
