PRESS RELEASE
 

On October 15, 2020 at approximately 8:42 a.m. State Police stopped Parvatie Sukhram, 29 of Schenectady, on Interstate 87 in the Town of Colonie.  A check of the vehicle Sukhram was operating revealed it to be reported stolen by Saratoga County Sheriffs.  Sukhram was placed in custody for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd degree (a class D felony).  A search of Sukhram found her to be in possession of debit cards belonging to the registered owner of the stolen vehicle and she was wearing a jacket that was reported stolen from a different vehicle.  Sukhram was transported to SP Latham for processing and additionally charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th degree (a class E felony) and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th degree (a class A misdemeanor).  Sukhram was arraigned and released to Saratoga County Sheriffs in regard to the stolen vehicle. 

At 5:40 p.m. State Police received a call of a woman in Clifton Park attempting to gain access to vehicles in a parking lot.  Upon arriving on scene police found Sukhram who admitted that she was attempting to steal a car from the area.  Sukhram was again placed into custody, this time for attempted Grand Larceny 4th degree (a class E felony) and brought to SP Clifton Park for processing.  Sukhram was released to EMS and transported to Ellis Hospital.
